The King of the Hill returns as Chevrolet has revealed its most powerful Corvette ever...the all-new 2025 Corvette ZR1! With a mind-boggling 1,064 hp and 828 lb-ft of torque from its blueprinted 5.5L DOHC flat-plane crank LT7 V8 engine, the Corvette ZR1 is the most powerful V8-powered sportscar in the world from any automotive manufacturer. With a new redline set at 8,000 RPM, the ZR1 boasts a GM-estimated top speed of over 215 MPH and it’s estimated to have a sub-10 second quarter mile time.
More than just a Z06 with turbochargers, the Corvette ZR1's LT7 was developed from the ground up with engineers upgrading and optimizing virtually every component needed on the high-revving turbocharged engine. The massive 76 mm twin turbochargers on the ZR1 were integrated into the exhaust manifold to be as close to the exhaust valves as possible while engineers also created intelligent calibrations specifically designed to reduce turbo lag to near zero. Engineers describe the LT7 a huge air pump as the turbo fans rotate at 1.7 times the sound of speed, consuming an Olympic swimming pool's volume of air in four minutes while also producing up to 37 pounds of thrust from the turbochargers.Another defining characteristic of the Corvette ZR1 is its unique body design and aerodynamic packages. The new flow-through front hood offers the maximum cooling area while increasing front downforce, and the new side intake profile provides cold air directly to the rear brakes. The ZTK Performance Package adds the large high wing, front dive planes, a tall-hood Gurney lip around the front hood opening, and underbody strakes and creates a true track weapon with over 1,200 pounds of downforce at top speed. The ZTK has its own suspension with stiffer springs and buyers will get the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires.
Inside the cockpit is the familiar confines of the C8 Corvette with the ZR1 receiving its own unique door panel stitching design. Inside the luxurious interior are several ZR1 badges found on the steering wheel, plaque, and sill plates. A boost gauge has also been added to the first factory Turbocharged Corvette.
